Lowered fees for new accounts at Skrill and NETELLER
Good news for customer who currently do not have an account at Skrill or NETELLER! Starting on the 8th of April, Paysafe has decided to reduce the fee for newly created accounts. Back in March, we saw an increase in the fees on transfers to other customers where the first transfer made came with a higher fee than normal if the account had not made an eligible deposit to their account. Eligible deposit meaning simply uploading funds to the account on any method with a few exceptions.
These are the exceptions that do not count as eligible deposits:
- Skril: P2P transfer, Neteller, paysafecard & BitPay
- Neteller: P2P transfer, Skrill, paysafecard, Neosurf, Qiwi & BitPay
The initial fee for making a P2P transfer on accounts that had not made an eligible deposit was earlier raised to 10% with a minimum fee of 10€, with the following transfers taking a 2.99% fee without minimum or max cap. Starting 8th of April, this fee is now lowered to a fixed 4.49% fee without minimum or max cap for all transfers. This added fee only applies to customers that have not made an eligible deposit to their account. Simply making a deposit to your customer account straight away is a fast and efficient way of lowering your fees and should be done straight away after completing the Skrill verification or Neteller verification.
The fees that Skrill and NETELLER take out for their service can sometime feel excessive but they are necessary for the brands to be able to maintain a high level of service for you as a customer.
